The bounty intends to decentralise backend logic. Currently, a set of DID keys are needed to sign, encrypt, or decrypt data. These keys need to be hosted on a server and protected. What we are trying to answer are the following:

Can we offload this task to Phat contracts?

Is it possible to use Phat contracts to verify a DID signature?

Can we create a contract that takes the Credential API's start session?

Can we use the key agreement key to encrypt and decrypt messages between the extension and dApp?

The bounty will be considered closed when the questions have been answered, and it would require code examples to showcase if yes or no.

Bounty: Can Phala's Phat Contract DID Backend

The winners of the KILT Prize for the web3athon. Dudley Needham, the Developer Relations at BOTLabs GmbH will submit on behalf of the winners of the KILT Protocol prize. A KILT DID Messaging App using the DIDComm standard with gunDB that uses webRTC underneath the hood. The full proposal can be found here (comment access):

**How to verify the document integrity**

The current version of the proposal document has been digitally signed with one of the DIDs that BOTLabs GmbH controls. To verify the signature:

1. Download the PDF version of the Google Document linked above.
2. Download the DID signature of the file from IPFS, with CID bafybeig7elt5lj5npt5mofa2mbn437ktrjk6bt2otrenzvrnv3bul4njca (e.g., ipfs.io).
3. Visit didsign.io, and upload both the PDF file and the downloaded signature. The signature should verify correctly and link to the KILT tx in which the timestamp was generated.
4. To verify the back-link from the DID to the account to which the funds must be sent if the Proposal is accepted, copy the account in the Proposal (4oUW14NsPf1ToUHxJWHd9jgF4y397MAh92VvFJ4J8Z35haPq for quick reference) and paste it in w3n.id. The account must be linked to the same web3name that signed the proposal document.


KILT Coin Prizes for the Web3athon: PesudoSquad

The winners of the Main Prize of the hackathon with the supplemented KILT Coins for the web3athon. Dudley Needham, the Developer Relations at BOTLabs GmbH, will submit on behalf of the Main prize winners. A Proof of Concept (POC) for a prover which can serve as a ZK-rollup of a Substrate-based chain. The full proposal can be found here (comment access):
