KILT’s council is decentralized and currently represents the KILT stakeholders, with one representative for each:

* Dev community
* Core devs
* Founders
* Integrators
* Collators
* Researchers

Recently the Council discussed that it would be beneficial to have KILT Coin holders represented as well. 

The Council reached out to an early buyer and steady hodler of KILT Coins and asked if they would be interested in joining the KILT Council.

This proposal is to add an additional Council seat for a KILT Coin holder, bringing the Council from 6 to 7.

This proposal also aligns with the [KILT Constitution](https://kilt.polkassembly.network/post/218) which states:

> “The governance of KILT Protocol consists of different decision-making processes through KILT Coin holders and representative bodies…The composition of the KILT bodies should be diverse and represent as many interest groups in the ecosystem as possible.”
