On September 18th 2023, [*Referendum#33*](https://kilt.polkassembly.network/referendum/33) was passed. This included the intention to extend Delegator Rewards for a full year longer than originally planned (see link for the justification).

Delegator rewards are ~9000 KILT per day currently and will continue until ~November 2024 (please comment if exact date is known), meaning around 1,350,000 KILT remain to be emitted.

Inflation and bad tokenomics have plagued KILT since its launch. I propose that trading volume on CEXs is too low to support even this level of inflation; these emissions represent a sizeable portion of daily volume (exceeding it in many cases) and, more tellingly, in many cases easily account for all of the daily [aggressor differential](https://pro.kraken.com/app/analytics/kilt-usd).

I propose that the enactment of this part of *Referendum#33* is now properly regarded as a mistake, and it is **irresponsible** to let it continue for another ~5 months. To leave these rewards running into such a frail market constitutes a knowing and conscious influence that we should not be party to. The sort of influence that could become a blight on KILT's fine reputation and potentially threaten its perception by and standing with partners present and future.

I propose that Delegator Rewards be terminated ASAP. Presumably there will be no adverse consequences to this since it could have taken place 7 months ago, and in any case will take place in 5 months.

Delegator Rewards should be ended immediately
